Welcome to BedrockTM1.org. The contributors to this site are dedicated to increasing the education of TM1 (and now Cognos Express). It is their opinion that, unlike TM1’s competitors, the use of this platform is capped only by education - not its technology.
To this end, this site is strictly non-commercial so as to encourage uptake and grow TM1 knowledge. Due to the anonymous nature of this site it is difficult to estimate how many companies are using these assets. But given download numbers, inquiries and anecdotal information there is a high level of certainty that users run into "many hundreds" making Bedrock the only well-used standard in the TM1 fraternity.
The key assets of this site are a "bedrock" layer of over 10,000 lines of fully tested TurboIntegrator code, detailed explanations of this code and Best Practice whitepapers on TM1 fundamentals and approach.
All assets contained in BedrockTM1.org are free to use. Users of all standards are asked in the spirit of sharing to give back "in kind" – suggestions, enhancements etc to augment the codebase, training material and whitepapers.
Downloading is simple - click on the links to the right. If you would like to contribute, email firstname.lastname@example.org - but please note this is not a free service to help you build your system. We suggest www.tm1forum.com as a good place to get relevant TM1 assistance and share your knowledge.
If you download and install Bedrock TI you will notice vast improvements in your time-to-market, cost of ownership and a marked reduction in TI code and hence system risk. Your TM1 documentation will also be kick-started with comprehensive help documents. White papers describe Best Practice approaches to TM1 and core explanations of TM1 functionality for beginners exist in a series of Training Papers.
Your feedback and contribution is actively encouraged and will be appreciated by the greater TM1 community. Just like a TM1 system, TM1 Best Practice is constantly evolving and improving too.
We invite you to be a part of it.
